As a responsible corporate citizen with a rich South African heritage, Southern Sun is committed to uplifting and developing communities in need through meaningful citizenship programmes and social investment in three primary areas, namely community development, entrepreneurial development and the natural environment.

The Southern Sun Entrepreneurs programme provides mentorship, coaching and other practical benefits and tools to business owners to help small enterprises become sustainable. - Environment
Environmental responsibility is fundamental to the Southern Sun philosophy of citizenship and strict measures are taken to reduce environmental impact and conserve natural resources. - Volunteers
Through the Southern Sun Volunteers programme, employees participate in diverse community projects that range from assisting at welfare shelters to organising beach clean-ups.
